One area of classes I thoroughly enjoy is working together. Specifically, during my time in nursing school, I have found it very helpful to have the support of others. Although it can have its challenges with people trying to understand each other, build off one another, and make sure we all have a similar goals. In the end I believe having other perspectives and outlooks on subjects is very beneficial for learning.

I think my team project group will be very strong in communication and understanding. I think we will all sit down and plan out the roles of each person and what their responsibilities will be. I think making sure we as a group have a goal and plan that we all agree on will make us successful. I don’t believe one person should have the weight of the group on them and that as a group each person should carry their part. If we make the roles clear early on and set them in writing, then it is shown to everyone what is needed from who.

If conflict occurs, I think the best course of action in most cases is first confront the person and explain what is needed of them. Then if that does not help ask the professor for guidance in how to move forward. I think that working as a team is very beneficial for individual growth. Specifically, as we move into hospitals and other facilities teamwork is a key component to growth and success. Learning how to work with others and understand their points of view is an important attribute to self-growth as a nurse.
