Nursing is a multi-layered profession encompassing building relationships with patients, an understanding of unity within the healthcare team, and using evidence-based practices to strengthen your own profession, these being only a few layers within nursing. The photo I chose that speaks to me on “how nursing is an art” is a colorful sunrise. Right before the sun begins to rise there are multiple colors within the sky that are pushing out. Just like the layers of nursing that play off one another and show the overall unity need to progress as a nurse.

I really like the photo you chose for this assignment. There are always so many different layers of the sky that can definitely be considered when explaining how nursing is an art. The unity of the nursing and medical team within the healthcare setting is such an essential aspect of nursing as a whole. As I mentioned in my own post, if they don’t unite and work as a team there would be chaos instead of a beautiful picture or, in the sense of nursing, amazing patient care.

I enjoyed reading your post and really loved the picture you chose. I like how you likened the layers of nursing to that of a sunrise and how they all come together in the same sort of way. I also would say that there are many layers to nursing and like a sunset possess and mastering all the layers is what makes you a great nurse.
